David is a Colombian architect and notebook artist based between Barcelona and his hometown, Ibagué. He feels deeply passionate about the beauty in everyday things, which he seeks to capture in his notebooks. The first time he picked up a sketchbook, in the early 1990s while studying architecture, it was driven by his desire to understand the proportions and materiality of the buildings he found interesting. Over time, those notebooks became inseparable companions in his travels and architectural work. In 2018, he began an artistic project titled “One Day One Drawing,” through which he represents his surroundings, his family, and his concerns through a daily drawing practice.
