Carmela is a Brazilian illustrator and multidisciplinary artist based in Barcelona.
Her practice spans a wide range of formats—illustration, animation, ceramics, painting, and even tattooing—reflecting her curiosity, adaptability, and love for experimentation.

Her work explores themes of queerness, identity, empowerment, and community, brought to life through bright color palettes, confident characters, and gritty, textured finishes.

Carmela has collaborated with major brands such as Amazon, Converse, Johnnie Walker, Herman Miller, and Audi, creating vibrant visual stories across campaigns and creative projects.

In addition to her artistic practice, she teaches Digital Advertising and Social Media at the Barcelona School of Art and Design, where she shares her knowledge with emerging creatives
